Don't lose your heads, people... The next wave of Skylanders has hit the stores just in time for the holidays.   If your kids are like mine, they can't get enough of Skylanders and finished the Giants and the original journeys long ago.   We've been eagerly awaiting Swap Force since I got a sneak peek at the yet unreleased game at SweetSuite 2013 at BlogHer.  

Activision’s Skylanders Swap Force is the 4th Series released in the Skylanders Game Series and they're already kickin' booty and turning heads!   This one's the best yet.

My kids, Du-Jay (12) and Sagezilla (10) split the 29 Skylanders they've bought with their own allowance "helpful works money" into types and made a video to welcome the new Swap Force series.   Check it out here.

Activision Adventures Await #ATVIFamGames #videogames #review

Here at ChiIL Mama, we're huge fans of Activision.   My 9 year old daughter and 11 year old son have been saving their "helpful works $" to buy Skylanders, Trash Packs and Moshi memberships.

We were first introduced to Trash Packs collectibles at ChiTAG--The Chicago Toy and Game Fair last year.   It's coming up again THIS weekend and we'll be there again to bring you photo and video filled toy and game reviews, inventor features and more!   You can still enter here for our last free ChiTAG ticket give away.

Our Trash Packs collection has grown to include an adorable garbage truck, storage systems, and a ton of fun little characters, each in their own cans.   I love that the kids play educational games with them--like memory boosting, matching games.   They also get crazy creative role playing with the little monsters.

My kids have both requested Moshi Monsters on line memberships as birthday presents, and spend their screen time nurturing their monsters and playing fun games on site.   They've both created and drawn hundreds of original, new moshlings.   It's still their favorite place to spend their screen time.   

Last year we were invited to The Activision Games for Girls Summit.   We reviewed a bunch of great, new offerings and gave away many to our readers, too!   It's so refreshing to see someone taking girls gaming seriously.   Activision goes beyond the fashion plate cliches and creates games for girls (and boys) where they can have adventures, think, create, and be active.
