I'm going to suggest them to my favorite young chefs. Then I'm crossing my fingers for a breakfast in bed for this Fourth of July weekend with a coffee cake or muffin version. I'd also be thrilled with a cake version to go with the evening's fireworks!
From the time they were tots, my kids have loved to play "Robot Restaurant" and bring us breakfast in bed... complete with the bill (tip expected). Now that they're 11 & 13, the food can be quite good at "The Robot Cafe". The kids design their own menus (listings and art) and they create gorgeous place settings, so it's well worth the "bill" to see them being so creative together.
