It's no mystery who the self proclaimed hottest band in the land was in the 70's
and will be forever.
I came of age in the 70's when KISS face makeup was THE hot choice at school carnival face painting stations, and we had to wait all week for Saturday mornings, to get our Scooby-Doo fix. Kids today don't know how easy they have it, with decades of Scoob and the gang at the push of a button. I still use the exclamations "Zoinks Scoob"and "Jinkies" in conversation. And I own not 1 but 2 styles of t-shirts that proclaim "I would have gotten away with it, too, if it weren't for you meddling kids."
