The Noses--2 Free Tixs To See LA Punks Rock The Beat Kitchen This Saturday Night (21+)

We're back up to 2 Parents' Nights Out for our ticket give aways, The Noses at Beat Kitchen and The Shams at Lincoln Hall on 1/27.    Appropriately enough, this week we're featuring The Boogers, punk for the kids and The Noses, punk for the so called adults among us!

"We're all punk parents."   These were surprising words from award winning playwright, Brett  Neveu, who wrote The House Theatre's premier of Odradek, now playing at The Chopin Theatre.   I review a lot of local theatre, and sometimes when I say that I write a punk-parenting blog, people look a bit confused or condescending.   At the after party on opening night, I walked up mid sentence as Brett was talking about his band from LA.    When he heard about the premise of ChiIL Mama instead of looking quizzical, he said, "Cool.   We're all punk parents."    We'll be interviewing the band Saturday and running a feature in the near future.
