FEST ALERT: 7th Annual ChillFest Pop-up Music Festival Returns Saturday, February 8 from 2-6 p.m.

The Wicker Park Bucktown Chamber of Commerce is delighted to announce the artists and venues for its 7th annual ChillFest pop-up music festival on Saturday, February 8 from 2-6 p.m. This free one-day-only event celebrates the creative and entrepreneurial roots of the Wicker Park and Bucktown neighborhoods by curating 30+ local musicians to perform live acoustic in 15 neighborhood storefronts.

Participating musicians for ChillFest 2020 include: Indie-folk-pop singer-songwriter Celia Rose, licensed Japanese koto performer and composer Jeff Wichmann, father-and-daughter duo Meghan and Timothy Pratt, classical guitarist Neil Dixon Smith, singer-songwriter and creative arts therapist Robinlee Garber, genre-bending folk artist Ryan Burns, and indie singer-songwriter Sammy Canillo.

Attendees can stroll from venue to venue, taking in the live music sets while shopping, getting a hair treatment, picking up a book, or experiencing local art. Each business hosts 2 bands/artists in a dedicated portion of its space, with musicians playing 1-hour sets, paired closely to the venue’s ambiance.

HELP OUT: Wicker Park Bucktown Wellness Expo and Rejuvenation Crawl health and lifestyle vendors announced


All ticket sales benefit the Play on Pritzker Campaign at A.N. Pritzker Elementary School—helping to provide an improved outdoor play area and multi-sport field for students. 



First-time event features mini-spa treatments, one-on-one conversations with health practitioners, demos and product samples

The Wicker Park Bucktown Chamber of Commerce announced today the roster of health and lifestyle vendors for its first-ever Wellness Expo and Rejuvenation Crawl on Sunday, April 8 from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. The event provides a one-stop shop for wellness resources, featuring 40 vendors offering everything from fitness and healthy nutrition to meditation, pet care, spa services and new self-care techniques. 

Tickets for the Wellness Expo and Rejuvenation Crawl at A.N. Pritzker Elementary (2009 W. Schiller Street, Chicago) are $10 and available at www.wickerparkbucktown.com.

The Wellness Expo kicks off at 10 a.m. on April 8 and showcases the abundance of health resources available in Wicker Park and Bucktown, all under one roof. This interactive event will allow attendees to have one-on-one conversations with health practitioners, and sample products and demos from demos a variety of businesses, including Canine Crews, Chicago Athletic Clubs, Dynamic Salon Studios, Essential Acupuncture Chicago, Fresh Market Place, HealthSource, Kadampa Meditation and Nike. Theater, Classical Music and Free Kids' Cooking Classes Are Growing At Wicker Park Farmers Market

Wicker Park Farmers Market is not just for fresh veggies, the arts are sprouting here too! The market is open every Sunday through October 30, 2016, from 8 a.m.-2p.m. at 1425 N. Damen Avenue. Programs include children’s cooking classes hosted by The Kids’ Table, and live music and theater performances presented by the Wicker Park Advisory Council with support from WPB SSA #33. All programs are free and open to the public.

Wicker Park Bucktown Chamber of Commerce, the sole service provider of Special Service Area (SSA) #33 is presenting this special schedule of free programming. 

The Wicker Park Farmers Market provides a space for local and regional farmers, food producers and processors to sell handmade and homegrown varieties of fresh fruit and vegetables, baked goods, meats, cheeses, flowers and more. The market allows local vendors and residents to come together around shared interests of healthful food, a robust local economy and neighborhood cohesion. Confirmed 2016 vendors include: Nichols Farm & Orchard, Seedling, River Valley Ranch, Garden Offerings & Petal’s Farm, Burton’s Maplewood Farm, Fehr Bros. Meats and Stamper Cheese.

The Wicker Park Farmers Market is presented by the Wicker Park Bucktown Chamber of Commerce with additional support from WPB SSA #33 and Lowe’s Home Improvement. The market accepts LINK/SNAP cards and administers the Double Value Coupon Program through a grant from Experimental Station, allowing patrons to receive double the amount of produce when they shop with a LINK card.

The Wicker Park Advisory Council is a voluntary group of individuals who meet on a regular basis to support the effective functioning of the park. The Council works with the park supervisor and other Chicago Park District staff, advising them on the needs and concerns of the community and making recommendations and suggestions regarding Wicker Park.
