Illinois Warrior Summit For All Veterans And Their Families Today At Soldier Field

There's a sweet event going down today at Soldier Field for all veterans and their families.    If you qualify, go on down and check it out.    Our friends over at Orman Music Media Group booked the entertainment.    One of our best family friends is a Marine who just turned 90.
He still spends his time hand carving canes for injured soldiers.    We have the utmost respect for those who have fought to preserve our freedom.

The mission of the Illinois Warrior Summit is to assist veterans and service members with obtaining information about benefits, employment, education, housing and legal services. The Illinois Warrior Summit promotes positive community relations and presents veterans with many opportunities for future goals. This one of a kind event also advocates networking between different organizations which improves business to business relations; enhancing the quality of veteran support services, and in turn, helping thousands of veterans.

The Illinois Warrior Summit and Welcome Home Celebration attracted nearly 4000 people last year, 2500 of them were veterans. The Chicago Park District supports the use of Soldier Field to host the event and expands its offerings to help veterans and family with their future goals.

Additionally, World Sport Chicago is providing a free opportunity for 150 injured, ill and wounded veterans to compete in sporting event competitions called, the Midwest Valor Games. Veterans will have an opportunity to compete and stay at the Hilton Downtown Chicago for three (3) days during the competitions.
