TODAY: KINGS BOWL LINCOLN PARK PARTNERS WITH RASHIED DAVIS FOR “CHEF BOWL 2016”

KINGS BOWL LINCOLN PARK PARTNERS WITH RASHIED DAVIS FOR
“CHEF BOWL 2016” CELEBRITY CHEF BOWLING FUNDRAISER
SUNDAY, APRIL 24

Event Proceeds to Benefit Saturday Place

Kings Bowl Lincoln Park will become a hub for Chicago culinary enthusiasts and sports fans Sunday, April 24 at 2 p.m. when former Chicago Bear Rashied Davis hosts “Chef Bowl 2016.” The event will bring together Chicago’s hottest chefs for a day of bowling, delicious food and festivities to support Saturday Place.  Participating chefs include Kevin Cuddihee (TWO), Kevin Hickey (Bottlefork/The Duck Inn), Tony Priolo (Piccolo Sogno/Piccolo Sogno Due) and Paul Virant (Vie/Perennial Virant), among others.

Sports celebrities scheduled to attend the event include Aja Stevens, Jerry Azumah, Garrett Wolfe, Jason Davis and Kelvin Hayden, among others.

Saturday Place is an academic enrichment program for 3rd and 4th grade Chicago Public School students performing at least one year below grade level and living in under-resourced communities. The program meets weekly on Saturdays, offering students an additional day of academic instruction and support. For the past four years, Saturday Place students demonstrated growth in math (99th percentile) and reading (60th percentile) during their two years in the program.

“Saturday Place provides opportunities for students to gain both personal and academic success regardless of their backgrounds,” said Davis. “We are excited to partner with Kings on this event and bring people who believe in the future of Chicago’s students together.

“Chef Bowl 2016” is chaired by All-Tech Decorating executive Jessica Helmer. All-Tech Decorating will serve as the event sponsor. Additional sponsors include the Chicago Bears, Pepper Construction, S Mechanical, Snaidero and Related.

“Our employees are proud to align themselves with Saturday Place through the sponsorship of Chef Bowl 2016,” said Helmer. “It’s clear to see that the program displays strong results in making a difference for Chicago’s children.”

“Chef Bowl 2016” lane sponsorships are available and range for $2,500. General admission tickets are also available for $65 and include entry to the event and samplings of Kings’ renowned made-from-scratch menu. All guests will also have access to the Chef Bowl auction, offering a variety of packages including exclusive experiences from the Chicago Bears and participating chefs.
