The days grow shorter, the nights longer, and on these cool November weekends we love to stay in our cozy Pajamas all day long.   So this month @ the Disco we will be celebrating cozy, snuggly, comfort with our annual PAJAMA PARTY! Wake up and stay in your PJs - parents and kids alike, bring your coziest, your feetiest and any accessories to boot (snuggles, blankies, etc.)   We'll be dancing all day and stick with the morning theme serving bagels, fruit and an old school sugary cereal bar too (sorry mom - fruity pebbles do have SOME fruit in them ;)   Plus - activities such as arts & crafts, face-painting, temporary tattoos, family photo booth and much much more - it's Baby Loves Disco, the original family dance party for kids 10 months to 10 years.    See you at the disco

Chicago's creative forces for families unite for Future Hits' 2nd Annual Halloween Spectacular! In addition to a full-on rock show by Future Hits, this event offers a chance for families to take a tactile trip and work with their hands on a fun craft before the concert with Kite Collective. 

Moira Funbuttons, the host of Chicago's excellent new television show for families Adventure Sandwich, will be the MC and guide us all through a costume contest, dance-off and more. Whole Foods is sponsoring the event and will provide wholesome Halloween treats for all, so don't miss it!

Matt Baron teamed up with Emma Hospelhorn (Hollows, New Millennium Orchestra) and Ben Sutherland (assistant professor of audio arts at Columbia College) to form Future Hits. The band exists as a natural extension of the music Matt started writing for teaching with at Chicago Public Schools. Future Hits recorded their debut album, "Songs for Learning," with Mark Greenberg (Coctails, Wilco, Andrew Bird).

These guys also do some killer shadow puppet work in their theatre piece and rock the recycled object puppets like nobody's business.   Highly recommended!

Baby Loves Disco is happy to announce a return to its monthly residencies this fall at the hippest clubs in the hottest cities: New York, Philadelphia, Chicago, Los Angeles and San Francisco. Real MCs will rouse the crowd, and DJs will spin G-rated dance tunes. 

Hundreds of parents, grandparents and kids groove along and enjoy all kinds of creative fun. Games, dance contests, crafts, kid-friendly spa services and goody bags are all part of the admission fee.  Local host parents will run each show. “We are really excited to get back to our roots, where we get to really dig into local cities and become a part of the community, showcasing the best local clubs, local DJs and really the whole local arts scene in general,” explains Andy Blackman Hurwitz, co-founder of Baby Loves Disco.

Baby Loves Disco, the internationally acclaimed family dance party phenomenon, is producing several events at venues around Chicagoland this fall, including a monthly residency at Chicago’s Beauty Bar.

The Beauty Bar events are part of Baby Loves Disco’s 2012 We Are Family Tour, producing more than 100 events in cities nationwide this year.  Other residency cities include New York City, Philadelphia, Los Angeles and San Francisco.
