Lolla is officially SOLD OUT but they'll be streaming live shows if you slacked off and missed out on tickets.   If you DO have your tixs lined up, remember kids 10 and under are FREE with a paying adult!    Kidzapalooza is hands down THE best fest kids area we've ever been to.   And we get out a LOT.


We've been rockin' Lollapalooza since THE first one years ago in 1991, and we have press credentials again this year, to bring it all to you.  We can't bring a video camera in, but we have features on many Lolla performers from locations where we could shoot, earlier this year, and we'll be bringing you stills and commentary all 3 days of Lolla 2012.

We've been reading 3 Dead Princes as a family and Sagezilla is enamoured with Princess Alexandra Stormybald Wilson or "Stormy".   She said, "I don't usually like princessy stuff, but she's like me.   She's snarky, she has brown hair, she's mighty, and she was born during a big storm, just like me!"

The night of Sagezilla's home birth, the doctor and midwife almost didn't make it into the city because there were tornadoes in the burbs, high winds, and torrential downpours that took out all the traffic lights and caused deep standing water on the roads!    I remember standing at the door watching the lightening rip across the sky between contractions.    The rain was literally coming down horizontally.  

Alex Cox's illustrations of Stormy may resemble Danbert Nobacon's 10 year old, Stella, but her spirit and her stormy birth are equal parts Sage.   I think the 3 S girls-Stella, Stormy and Sage would get along great.    If you're raising a little anti-princess (or wish you were), then this is the fairy tale for you.

Kidzapalooza 2010 JP, Chrissie and The Fairground Boys

Live from Kidzapalooza 2010. Chrissie Hynde, Pretenders frontwoman, punk queen, and veg activist from Ohio graced us with her amazing voice on the Kidzapalooza stage on Saturday afternoon. Her set was certainly one of the Kidza 2010 highlights, as she sang with her new love interest. This song is the story of how she met her fairground boy.
